WhatsApp Coexistence: One Number, App and Inbox

Coexistence lets the same number work in the WhatsApp Business app on your phone and in KonekSip at the same time. Your team answers from the shared inbox, while you can still use the app the way you always did.

How it works

1. Choose to connect with Facebook and tick that the number is also used in the WhatsApp Business app.
2. Confirm on your phone. Your recent chats and your contacts are copied into KonekSip one time.
3. From then on, what you send from the app appears in the inbox, and what customers send reaches both.

A channel set up this way shows a Coexistence label next to Official on its card in KonekSip, so you can always see which of your numbers are also used in the app.

What you get

• One number everywhere. No new number for customers to learn.
• Your history in the inbox. Recent chats, up to about 6 months, and your contacts are brought in once, right after connecting.
• App messages stay free. Messages you send from the app do not cost anything extra and do not affect conversation windows or pricing. Messages sent through KonekSip follow the official pricing.
• A team inbox on top. Assignments, notes and customer records work as on any official number.

What does not work on a shared number

• Groups, calls and broadcast lists.
• Disappearing messages, view-once media and live location.
• Sending speed is fixed at 20 messages per second.

Good to know

• It needs the WhatsApp Business app, version 2.24.17 or later, on the phone.
• Connecting unlinks the devices that are linked to the app. Link the ones you still use again.
• WhatsApp can disconnect the number if the phone app is not opened for about 14 days.
• WhatsApp decides whether a number is eligible from its activity in the app. If it says the number is not eligible yet, use the app for longer and try again.
• The copy of chats and contacts happens only once per connection, so tick the option when you connect.
