Feature

REST API and Webhooks for Customer Chats

Send messages and one-time codes, read conversations and receive events on your own server with a documented REST API, webhooks and an OpenAPI file.

Connect KonekSip to your own systems

Everything your team does in the inbox can also be done by your own software. Send messages from your shop or app, read conversations into your tools, and get told when something happens.

The REST API

  • Send. Text, media, buttons and lists on official WhatsApp numbers, templates, reactions and email, through one messages endpoint.
  • One-time codes. Send a login or verification code with an authentication template: pass the code as otp_code and KonekSip builds the rest. The code is not kept in your message history.
  • Read. Conversations, messages, contacts and templates.
  • One key per channel. Every channel has its own API key, shown on the channel page.
  • Safe retries. Send an idempotency key and a retried request does not send the message twice.
  • Clear limits. Sending is limited per minute and every response tells you how much is left. Errors come with a code you can act on.

Webhooks

Set a URL on a channel and KonekSip posts every event to it, in one format:

  • message.received for incoming messages, including emails and comments.
  • message.status for delivery and read updates.
  • conversation.assigned and conversation.closed when a chat changes hands or ends.
  • conversation.sla_breached when a chat waits longer than your target.

Failed deliveries are retried a few times with growing delays.

Documented in the open

The full reference lists every endpoint, field, event and error code, with examples. An OpenAPI 3.1 file is available without an API key, so you can load it into Postman or Insomnia and try the calls.
