Documentation
Welcome to KonekSip. Guides to connect each channel, step by step, and to send your first message.
Connect a channel
Pick the channel you want to connect. Each guide is complete on its own, from what you need first to fixing common problems.
Log in with Facebook for the official API, or scan a QR code.
Log in with Facebook and answer the messages sent to your Page.
Log in with Facebook and answer the direct messages of your professional account.
Receive and send email through your own mailbox (SMTP and IMAP).
Authorize your shop with your own Open Platform app and answer buyers in the inbox.
A chat widget for your website, answered from the same inbox.
Building your own integration? The API Reference lists every endpoint, webhook payload and error code.
Quick Start
Get started with sending your first WhatsApp message in minutes.
1. Get Your API Key
Get your API key from the channel settings on your dashboard.
2. Create a Channel
Add a channel in the dashboard. For an Unofficial channel scan the QR code with your WhatsApp app, for an Official channel log in with Facebook and pick your WhatsApp Business account and number. Messenger and Instagram connect the same way, email with SMTP and IMAP, Shopee with your own Open Platform app, and live chat with one line of code on your website.
3. Send Your First Message
curl -X POST https://koneksip.com/api/messages \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
-d '{
"type": "text",
"receiver": "628123456789",
"message": "Hello from KonekSip!"
}'
Next, see the API Reference for every endpoint, the webhook payloads and the error codes.
Workflows
A workflow connects a trigger to a chain of steps on a canvas, so a task runs by itself: answer a keyword, ask a question and keep the answer, call another system, or follow up after a chat is closed. Owners and admins build workflows under AI & Automation, then Workflows.
Build one
- Press Add Workflow, give it a name, and start from a template or choose a trigger.
- Add steps from the library, or press the + next to an open connector. A Condition has a True and a False connector. Connect steps by dragging from a connector to a step, or with the Connections lists in the side panel.
- Fill in each step. Missing or invalid fields are marked in red. Type
{{ $trigger.body }}style variables or pick them from Insert variable. - Press Test Run to walk the flow with a sample message. Nothing is sent, called or changed, and the result is drawn on the canvas.
- Choose a channel, turn the switch to Active and press Save Changes. A workflow runs only while it is active and saved.
Triggers
- Incoming Message: a customer message that contains or equals a keyword (empty keyword matches every message). A matching message is handled by the workflow and is not passed on to the auto responders or the AI, unless you choose Pass it on to auto responders and AI and the workflow sent no reply. By default a conversation that an agent has is left alone.
- Scheduled Cron: runs on a schedule in the time zone you choose. It needs a channel and a recipient number in its steps.
- Inbound Webhook: another system sends a POST request with a JSON body to the private URL shown in the step. Anyone with the URL can start the workflow, so keep it private. Renew URL replaces it.
- Conversation Assigned and Conversation Closed: run when a conversation is assigned or resolved.
Steps
- Condition, Delay (up to 7 days, checked about every 30 seconds), Wait for User Input (saves the next reply in a variable, and stops waiting after the minutes you set), Set Variables and JSON / Transform.
- Send Message, Reply Quote, Admin Notification and Update Contact.
- HTTP Request: calls a public address only. The response is saved as a variable such as
{{ $vars.http.body }}.
Limits and good to know
- Messages sent by a workflow count like any other message. On a number managed by KonekSip they are paid from the wallet, and a message outside the 24 hour window follows WhatsApp's rules. A message that cannot be sent is recorded as a failed step.
- A run stops after 50 steps in a row or 100 in total, and one organization starts at most 60 runs a minute. A contact cannot start the same workflow again within its cooldown.
- Messages that do not answer a customer (schedule, webhook) are not sent to contacts who unsubscribed from campaigns.
- Open Executions to see every run, step by step, with the error of a failed step. Runs are kept for the history period of your plan.
Wallet and AI
The prepaid wallet pays for what is charged by use: messages on WhatsApp numbers managed by KonekSip, and AI. Owners and admins manage it.
Top up the wallet
- Open Billing & Subscription, then Wallet.
- Choose an amount, from Rp 20,000, and pay by QRIS. The balance updates as soon as the payment is confirmed.
- The Top-up history lists every attempt with its status. Press Pay now to open a QR code that has not expired, and Receipt to download a PDF for a paid top-up.
AI replies
- Open AI Auto Reply in the menu and choose a channel. You do not need an AI account or an API key.
- Write instructions about your business, choose how many earlier messages the AI reads, and turn it on.
- Tick Hand over to a team member when the AI cannot answer to make it stop when it is unsure: the chat becomes Pending, your message is sent and the AI stays silent until the chat is resolved.
- The page shows the price per 1,000 tokens and the tokens used this month. When the wallet balance is too low, the AI stays off and the page tells you to top up. The balance never goes below zero.
Summarize a conversation
Open a conversation and press the sparkles button in its header. A window shows the topic and at most five points, with a Copy button, and says how many messages it is based on (the latest 100 text messages). Anyone who can see the conversation can use it. A summary is paid from the wallet, and asking again when nothing new was said shows the same summary at no cost.
